Nicola Dale performance Thursday 17 March 2022 5-8pm

We are delighted to announce that Nicola Dale will perform during the opening of ‘On touch’ on Thursday 17th March 2022.

‘Retouch’ is a new performance responding to the portraits in J.A. Nicholls’ solo show, ‘On touch’ at Bobinska Brownlee, London. Calling attention to the particularities of Nicholls’ technique, Nicola Dale will present her own face as canvas, medium and mirror in order to explore performativity and portraiture, gesture and expression.

Nicola Dale works across sculpture, performance, image and text. Recent highlights include exhibitions, commissions and/or performances for: Begehungen Festival, Chemnitz; Proforma, Salford; The Grundy, Blackpool; Echo Echo, Derry; Backlit, Nottingham; Corte Super Nova, Venice; Leeds Arts University; The Portico, Manchester; International 3, Salford; MOSTYN, Wales; Turner Contemporary, Margate; Open Eye, Liverpool and The Whitworth, Manchester.
